It is difficult to imagine a more stressful time than facing criminal proceedings and Karen will fight for your corner every step of the way and also provide pragmatic advice based on years of experience.

Karen has acted in some of the most high profile criminal cases in the country.  Cases that she has acted in amongst many others are Louise Sullivan (the Australian nanny accused of shaking the baby to death), Marie-Theresa Kouao (Victoria Climbie child murder case) and R v Elliot White (the Chelsea banker murder), the Mardi Gras Bombers and the Securitas Robbery.

She has extensive experience of defending cases brought by the Serious Fraud Office, HMRC and the NCA.  She is able to travel nationally to provide immediate advice at the police station.

In particular Karen represents those most vulnerable including those on the autistic spectrum.  Richard Mills, the director of At Autism recently referred to her “as an excellent advocate for those on the autistic spectrum”.

She has represented various members of internet groups of Anonymous and Lulzec.

She has extensive experience in representing those accused of sexual offences.

• R – v – Clark and Drury – case referred to the Court for appeal on the ground of serious non-disclosure evidence and the convictions of both men were quashed.  On a re-trial the prosecution offered no evidence against both.
